Founded in 1961 in Jaraguà do Sul, Brazil, Weg initially produced electric motors. During the Eighties it started to broaden its activities with the production of electric components, industrial automation products and power and distribution transformers. The company has now consolidated its position as a manufacturer of motors as well as of complete electronic systems.
